MARK YOUR CALENDAR: A MASSIVE MARCH OF EVENTS IS HITTING DISTILLERY ROAD MARKET 

Filled with free events and entertainment for the whole family to enjoy, Distillery Road Market (DRM) will be bustling this March with a jam-packed line-up of markets, trivia, drag bingo, live music, an Easter movie and more.

Discover the vibrant spirit of creativity with the eagerly anticipated monthly The Makers Market hosted by BrisStyle on Saturday 9 March from 11am-4pm.

Explore DRM’s air-conditioned indoor market hall brimming with dozens of talented artists and creators showcasing their handmade treasures, from clothing, unique jewellery, home décor, art and more.  

Whether you’re a seasoned sewer or crafter, or just starting out, take part in the Craft Workshops and learn some fresh skills, while picking up some new supplies. Entry is free to The Makers Market.

For the first time ever, DRM will host a fabulous and fun Drag Bingo evening on Sunday 17 March from4pm-6pm

Hosted by Drag Queen sensation, Terry Daktyl, along with a special surprise guest, strap yourself in for a night of number-calling luck, vibrant and glamorous performances, and wild humour.

Get in quick, tickets are on sale now for this lively event hosted within DRM’s brand-new Food and Entertainment District, The F.E.D. 

Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, enjoy free live music from local musicians inside The F.E.D. Singer-songwriter, Mark Crotti, will bring the evening vibes with his acoustic set on Friday 8 March from 6-9pm. Then on Friday 15 March from 6-9pmThe James Street Preachers take to the stage with a moody blues jam.

For some Easter fun, get the family together and hop into DRM for a free screening of Peter Rabbit the movie on Saturday 23 March from 6-8pm. Pull-up a bean bag, grab a delicious bite to eat along with a drink, and settle in for a night watching Peter Rabbit go on a whimsical adventure. 

Welcoming the arrival of Autumn, DRM’s weekly Sundays in the Market Hall will continue on Sunday 3, 10 and 24 March (no market on 17 or 31 March) from 8am-1pm

These markets will be bursting with the freshest seasonal produce and a diverse range of artisan goods and offerings from local vendors. 

Bringing together the best local vendors from across SEQ, Sundays in the Market Hall is a one-stop-shop for fresh produce, meat, seafood, small goods, baked treats, spices, preserves, jams and chutneys, with artisan makers showcasing jewellery, pet products, children’s products, homewares, gift ideas, plants, along with vintage, retro and collectable clothing, fabrics, sewing notions and dress patterns, collectables and much more.

While at DRM, enjoy the many onsite food and drink outlets including Zarraffa’s Coffee’s Kiwanda Café,Sugar Creek Smokehouse, Slice It, Wing It and stop in for a cold beverage at the new and bespoke $6-million, 1 million litre brewery, Perentie Brewing Co.

With seating for over 200 beer lovers to enjoy, visit Perentie Brewing Co. to experience a locally brewed authentic lager beer, which has been perfectly crafted using traditional German brewing techniques to produce a clean, crisp range of beers with an unmistakably Australian taste.

Entry into DRM and the markets are always free, with plenty of free on-site parking and it’s also a dog-friendly space. Allowing for a comfortable shopping experience every visit, DRM and its markets are held inside DRM’s fully undercover and air-conditioned market hall.

Located off Exit 35 of the M1 Motorway with more than 600 car parks at the precinct, DRM is located advantageously along the Gold Coast and Brisbane growth corridor in the rapidly growing Logan City, making the markets both visible and easily accessible from the M1 Motorway. 

With a dynamic line-up of events including The Makers Market by BrisStyle, free Easter movie, Drag Bingo, weekly Sunday morning markets, live music, and weekly Thursday night Quiz Meisters trivia, DRM promises an unforgettable experience for everyone this March.
