One of Queensland’s leading and fastest growing childcare centre groups – Edge Early Learning (EEL) – is marking new territory growth with its recent expansion into South Australia.
The South Australian acquisition signals a milestone with close to 50 centres for Edge Early Learning, since its establishment in 2017, adding an additional 20 locations to the existing 29 centres across South East and North Queensland – with more on the way.
With plans to revolutionise early education, privately owned and operated Edge Early Learning will introduce its state-of-the-art centre model, learning philosophy and sustainability focus across all the SA centres, which are located in suburban communities and developing areas around the state.
The expansion saw EEL acquire Where We Grow, Treasured Tots and Paisley Park Early Learning centres in South Australia, with centres located in Aldinga Beach, Angle Vale, Brahma Lodge, Gawler East, Mount Barker, Munno Para West, Strathalbyn, Virginia, Plympton, Oaklands Park, Royal Park, Port Adelaide, Hallett Cove, Port Pirie and Port Augusta West.
Edge Early Learning Chief Executive Officer, Annie Bryce, believes EEL’s recognised brand of early learning services will enhance the current offering, while meeting the growing demand for access to quality childcare in South Australia.
“We have built a reputable educational practice in the early learning space on the East Coast and have been looking to take EEL to areas that are seeking quality childcare and education,” she said.
“We create a sense of community to give children the best opportunity to develop new skills and learn about the world around us with our inquiry based learning curriculum.”
“The acquisition of this large number of South Australian centres is both aligned with our growth plans and provided an opportunity to establish ourselves immediately as a leader in the market.”
With the backing of a passionate team of experienced educators, Edge Early Learning’s educational programs support and enhance learning milestones and journeys across all areas of early development through its four pillars, education, wellbeing, relationships, and sustainability.
“Learning occurs naturally when teachable moments are captured and that is why our skilled educators implement this approach to encourage children to be curious and active learners,” Annie said.
“Our approach encourages children to explore new ideas and learn through play, as we cater to children from 6 weeks to school age and focus on preparing them for older years, socially, emotionally, and developmentally.”
“We plan to infuse our philosophy, learning environments and teaching methods into our South Australian centres, to ensure that our children have access to safe and inspiring environments, create meaning about the world around us, experience new understandings and develop a love of learning.”
Edge Early Learning’s strong sustainability focus will also be implemented across all centres in SA, through the introduction of solar power panels, environmentally friendly cleaning products, biodegradable bamboo wipes, recycle stations and vegetable gardens.
“At Edge, we are mindful about the world we live in and passionate about teaching children the importance of sustainability. Practising sustainable habits in a child’s early years, empowers them to construct knowledge, explore values and develop an appreciation of the environment and its relationship to their world,” added Annie.
Centres acquired across SA will be rebranded over the coming months, with Edge rolling out it’s education curriculum and providing children access to modern resources, equipment, and books.
In-house chefs will also provide nutritious meals daily, including, morning tea, lunch and afternoon snacks, all served in a communal setting to encourage socialisation.
Edge Early Learning is known for its state-of-the-art early learning centres that support the needs of the community and offer added conveniences to families, while being committed to delivering an exceptional experience where children can discover their potential and start school with a love of learning.
