THE LITTLE BUNNIES WITH BIG HEARTS: ART FOR A CAUSE THIS EASTER

This Easter, the children at Edge Early Learning (EEL) in Cannon Hill are trading chocolate for art, as they auction off their hand-painted artwork to raise money for the Mater Hospital Foundation – Mater Little Miracles.

On Thursday, April 8 between 2:30pm to 5:30pm, EEL Cannon Hill will celebrate Easter with a feel-good afternoon for families of the centre, including an artwork auction and raffle to raise proceeds for a caring cause.

All of the artworks lined up for auction are hand-painted by EEL Cannon Hill’s bright young stars, using their custom-built ateliers; a special resource at the state-of-the-art childcare centre to encourage and harness children’s creativity from a young age.

As Easter is a time to bring families together and support foundations that help to grow and develop children – inside and outside of Edge Early Learning – the Cannon Hill team, families and students are excited to raise funds for Mater Little Miracles as “every child is truly a miracle”, said Centre Director Katrina Stone.

“We are lucky to have amazing children here at Edge Early Learning Cannon Hill. We support them as much as we can with their learning and development, and we want to do the same for others – that’s why we choose to donate all proceeds from this Easter’s auction to Mater Little Miracles.”

“To see the children so excited to paint using our ateliers for a good cause really warms my heart, and the team and I are thrilled to bring our Edge families together next Thursday,” said Katrina.

Similar to Edge Early Learning’s ethos of giving all young children a positive start to their learning journey, Mater Little Miracles is committed to giving all babies the best possible start to life. All proceeds raised go towards helping Mater’s medical and research teams to help save the lives of Mater’s tiniest and most vulnerable patients.

While the Cannon Hill Easter Auction is an event for families of the centre, the community is encouraged to follow along via Edge Early Learning’s social media channels @edgeearlylearning.

Edge Early Learning Cannon Hill is located on 18 Andrews Street, Cannon Hill, QLD 4170.
