STATE-WIDE EXPANSION CONTINUES FOR LEADING EARLY LEARNING GROUP

In order to meet increasing demands, Edge Early Learning is continuing its growth throughout South Australia having opened a second centre in the same suburb, and an additional new centre to be opened by the end of year.

Edge Early Learning Angle Vale – Merlot Road is the second centre to open recently in the suburb, following the opening of Edge Angle Vale on Saverio Boulevard in February 2022.

A third centre within the West Lakes housing project is also slated to open in late-2025 with the leading early learning group working on plans to open further centres throughout the state in the next few years.

Edge CEO, Annie Bryce, said the expansion marks Edge Early Learning’s continued commitment to offer South Australian families quality care and education, following its initial foray into the region in December 2021.

“Edge now provides early learning places to more than 5,600 children, aged 6-weeks to school age across the state, across a total of 17 centres in South Australia, with further expansion on the horizon.”

“Our most recent opening in Angle Vale is catering to a growing location; as the community flourishes, so does the need for additional quality options for families, and we have already had a great response from local families wanting to book tours to see the new centre.”

Edge Angle Vale – Merlot Road is just a short 5-minute drive from the existing Angle Vale centre on Saverio Boulevard and will provide places for up to 119 children per day, accommodating a total of 239 children across the two centres.

“We’re also thrilled to be providing more employment opportunities for locals in the area. With the addition of the new centre, we have grown our team to 57 and a total 532 across the state,” Mrs Bryce added.

The new state-of-the-art and purpose-built centre has been meticulously planned and developed to inspire creativity, curiosity, and instil a lifelong love for learning.

It features modern indoor learning resources and includes seven spacious specially designed age- specific rooms including nursery, toddler and kindergarten, while outdoor play areas feature water misters, bike tracks, sand pits, vegetable gardens, space to run, and quiet areas to relax.

Edge Early Learning’s educational programs support and enhance learning milestones and journeys across all areas of development through its four pillars, education, wellbeing, relationships, and sustainability.

“At Edge Early Learning, we embrace an inquiry-based learning approach. This means we encourage children to explore through play, by asking questions and integrating real-world experiences. We aim to prepare children for school by instilling a love of learning from a child’s early developmental years,” Mrs Bryce added.

In addition to quality early education, Edge is leading the way by offering mindfulness activities such as yoga, incorporating sustainable practices and utilising bamboo nappies and wipes, sunscreen, and environmentally friendly cleaning products. As well as offering daily meals made by in-house chefs who cater to all dietary requirements, all included in the daily fee.

With opening hours from 6.30am to 6.30pm from Monday to Friday, the new Angle Vale – Merlot Road centre offers extended operation times to best suit parents and carers and enables them to get the most out of the allocated subsided hours per fortnight.

The new centre has a strong team of educators, led by Centre Director, Sharon Floyd, who comes with a wealth of experience and connections within the local community.

Edge Angle Vale – Merlot Road is also seeking more passionate educators to join their growing team. To register your interest in a career at Edge Early Learning visit the Careers Page, edgeearlylearning.com.au/careers/.
