Get ready Gold Coast – the shores of Kurrawa Beach will transform into a sea of pink and white as the inaugural Rosé Coast Gold Coast wine and food festival kicks off this Saturday 1 May from 11am to 6pm.
After months of planning, the Gold Coast’s first-ever rosé festival is finally here and set to be the event of the season as the Broadbeach beachfront comes to life for a full day of good times, great food and of course, rosé.
Boasting a sophisticated coastal vibe, the festival will provide the perfect pairing of home-grown rosés from over 20 wine growing regions across Australia, with a carefully curated gourmet food menu, ‘Fashion on The Sands’ competition for those sporting their best pink and white get-up, and a line-up of entertainment and activities to see the day through.
While it’s no secret that the Gold Coast loves a pink drop, Rosé Coast Co-Producer and Creative Director Kristen Francis said to be ready for a day of rosé and so much more.
“We’re so excited to welcome the Gold Coast to rosé the day away this Saturday, kicking off Queensland’s Labour Day long weekend,” she said.
With VIP Beach Cabanas now SOLD OUT, and the second wave of tickets (from $59) selling fast, rosé lovers are encouraged to purchase their tickets ahead of time, as only a limited number of third wave tickets (from $69) will be available on the door this Saturday.
“It’s the perfect excuse to gather the gang for a sunshine-filled day, with sand between your toes, enjoying a glass of your favourite pink drop and all the epicurean delights you can handle.”

For the wine lovers, there will be over 40 types on offer including prosecco, sparkling rosé, rosatos and frosé by the Oracle Boulevard Frosé Bar by Gypsy Social. Then red, white and a bubbles bar, as well as cocktails from Brookie’s Byron Gin, Brix Distillery and Matso’s, along with amber drops from Gage Roads Brew Co.
Foodies rejoice, as the local legends from In Season Catering will be serving epicurean delights. The gourmet food menu will include cheese and charcuterie platters, freshly shucked oysters, burgers, seafood, Italian, and a delicious gelato bar.
“Expect fresh oysters with all the savoury toppings that go best with lighter rosés; a fusion of Italian food like gnocchi and pasta with a side of Mediterranean salad that pairs with rosés fashioned from Italian varieties; the Burger Bar will boast all the favourites, from wagyu to chicken karaage and mushroom burgers, that go best with juicy and flavour-packed rosés,” enthused Kristen.
And last but not least, the seafood bar will serve up tasty crab rolls, Mooloolaba prawn salad and beer battered flathead, that is best paired with the range of Australian rosés on offer.
Festivalgoers can awaken their inner artist at the Pinot & Picasso speed painting classes or enjoy a sand sculpting workshop throughout the day. There will be tunes seaside until sunset by local Rosé Coast DJ, Marea Lambert-Barker, while endota spa Broadbeach pop ups will provide relaxing neck and shoulder massages and/or skin consults.
Rock to some rosé or groove to some gris, during Wine Selector’s legendary Silent Disco Drops, matching wine to music, or channel your inner connoisseur with a range of masterclasses, including fun-filled wine education and wine tasting in the Wine Selector’s beach pavilion.
