LAUGHTER REALLY IS THE BEST MEDICINE!

The Gold Coast is in for a treat as the annual GC Laughs Festival announces their comeback with a hilarious line-up of homegrown heroes and comedic talent, set to have audiences roaring at HOTA March 13-21.

Working as part of the Laughs crew for the past three years, the entire M10 team are pumped to be able to deliver the PR execution for the Festival, off the back of an incredibly trying 2020 for the performing arts.

Gold Coasters are well overdue for a laugh this year, as the comedy festival reignites after forced cancellation due to COVID lockdowns of major venues in March 2020.

“We’re hosting five huge nights of real, raw and straight up riotous comedy, with talent from far and wide landing on the Gold Coast; set to be bigger, better and funnier than ever before,” said GC Laughs Festival Director Josh Armstrong.

“The line-up we’re showcasing is truly sensational and following over 8,000 comedy fans joining us at HOTA in 2019, we can’t wait to see the local community embrace comedy once again.”

GC Laughs Festival welcomes to the Gold Coast Australian comedy legends Joel Creasey, Tommy Little, and Fiona O’Loughlin, who will take to the stage alongside some of the best local and international acts.

Both Creasey and Little will perform in HOTA’s largest indoor theatre, offering the potential to seat hundreds of comedy enthusiasts.

With global sold-out performances, a headline act at Melbourne International Comedy Festival and Edinburgh Fringe, and many TV appearances such as Ten’s ‘I’m a Celebrity Get me Out of Here’ and Nine’s ‘Celebrity Apprentice’, Fiona O’Loughlin returns for another year with her new act set to be a showstopper.

As seen on Netflix, and as part of Nova FM’s national drive show ‘Kate, Tim and Joel, and host of the international song competition, Eurovision Song Contest, Australia’s Crown Prince of Comedy, Joel Creasey, needs little introduction.

Set to bring sauce, sass, and seriously cool energy to GC Laughs Festival, with his latest stand-up show ‘Messy Bitch’, Joel Creasey is one you don’t want to miss at HOTA this March 20.

And when it comes to comedy with no limits, Tommy Little takes no prisoners; ready to give the Gold Coast a glimpse into his real-life antics, foolish and funny as hell, for a hot night of comedy.

The GC Laughs Gala kicks off the Festival on Saturday, 13 March for the biggest night of comedy on the Gold Coast, hosted by Australian cultural and big-time comedy icon, Heath Franklin Chopper.

On Thursday, 18 March, Ivan Aristeguieta, Frenchy, Bob Franklin, and Aaron Gocs will take to the stage, followed by Danielle Walker, Gen Fricker, Luke Heggie, Fiona O’Loughlin, Nick Cody, and Michelle Brasier on Friday, March 19.

After his sell out shows in previous years, Joel Creasey returns on Saturday, 20 March, with Neel Kolhatkar, Craig Quartermaine, Sam Taunton, Women Like Us, Dan Rath, Hot Department, and Tommy Little.

Rounding out the festival on Sunday, March 21, is South Africa’s hilarious Dusty Rich who will be bringing his twice sold-out insanity manifestation ‘The Dusty Rich Comedy Circus’ – a weird and wild show, set to take the audience on an insane ride to close the GC Laughs Festival 2021.
