INTERNATIONAL COMEDIANS JOIN GC LAUGHS FESTIVAL LINE UP THIS MARCH

The GC Laughs Festival team is pumped to announce the addition of five world-renowned comedians to its already impressive line-up, welcoming Mark Watson, Josie Long, Paul Foot and Shad & Pete to the stage this March 17 to 25.

Ready to make audiences laugh like never before, the GC Laughs Festival will host its biggest festival to date with over 40 comedians across 7-nights, from March 17-25, and April 4.

Mark Watson is a household comedy name in the UK, known for his critically acclaimed stand-up shows and television appearances. He is a master of comedic storytelling; blending satire and social commentary with humour and heart. The multi-award winner returns to Australia with his show Search on March 23.

Another award-winning comedian and writer who has been entertaining audiences for over a decade, Josie Long (UK) brings a brand-new hour of power to comedy with Re-Enchantment on March 24. With her signature blend of wit and heart, Josie delivers performances that are both hilarious and moving.

Paul Foot (UK), known for his unique and absurd comedic style, hits the stage with his brand-new show Swan Power on March 25. Blending stand-up comedy with music, poetry, and physical comedy, the multi-award-winning comedian has performed at comedy clubs and festivals all over the world, earning him international recognition.

On the same evening, iconic comedy duo Shad Wicka & Peter James (AUS) Save the World! in a loose set of comedy sketches and stand-up. They’re sure to have audiences in stiches, with surprise special guests, as they attempt to solve problems with a 100% success rate.

And last, but certainly not least, GC Laughs Festival are thrilled to announce the return of festival favourite, Nick Cody (AUS), as the host of the GC Laughs Gala on March 17. Boasting a cult following of comedy devotees, Nick is known for his quick wit and relatable humour, making him the perfect host to ring in the biggest night of comedy on the Gold Coast.

“We have really outdone ourselves in our fifth year running of the GC Laughs Festival. There truly is something for everyone, with a mix of international stars, local heroes and laughter legends taking to the stage for the biggest comedy festival on the Coast,” said GC Laughs Festival Director Josh Armstrong.

“We are sure that the Fest’s best will have you in stiches, with so many brand-new shows and touring favourites promising a good time during this week of non-stop laughter…so get ready Gold Coast!”
