EDGE BRINGS QUALITY CHILDCARE TO NORTH QUEENSLAND

Renowned for its excellence in education and learning facilities, Edge Early Learning (EEL) has expanded into North Queensland, making access to quality childcare even easier.

EEL recently acquired two new sites at Maryborough and Tinana, providing enriching learning experiences for up to 140 local children per day and offering employment opportunities to locals within the community.

The centres feature spacious outdoor play areas with natural elements, water play, sand pits and vegetable gardens, while indoor features include homely age-specific classrooms and learning resources.

There are a number of employment opportunities available at the centres, ranging from casual Educators up to a Centre Director position, with EEL seeking applications from those within the local community from all walks of life who are passionate about making a difference in young lives and looking for a promising career.

“Edge Early Learning’s quest is to become Australia’s best in early childhood education by empowering its educators and providing them with the environment, resources, and support to create optimum learning opportunities for the children in their care,” Edge Early Learning People and Culture Manager Peita Heintzberger said.

“And you don’t need to leave your prior skills, experience or passions at the door. We love bringing people on who have different backgrounds, who might love yoga or cooking, for example, and we look to see how we can incorporate those interests into our centres.

Renowned for its state-of-the-art facilities, quality education and care, EEL is equally as passionate about employing the right people for the job and believes it has set the foundation for high quality centres with an excellent team culture.

Staff are offered a wide range of benefits from 60% off childcare fees, above Award pay, paid attendance in all team meetings, school holiday leave for ECT’s, training and development, and traineeships. The minimum requirement to work at an EEL childcare centre, is a Certificate 3 qualification in Early Childhood.

Mrs Heintzberger reinforced that although a career change can be overwhelming, Edge is committed to supporting its team members at every turn.

“You don’t need any prior experience for Early Childhood certification, and our open-door practice makes it is easy to complete your required placement hours with us. We also offer traineeships where we pay people to come on board with us and either start or continue their qualifications,” she said.

EEL’s rapidly growing footprint – of almost 50 locations nationally – means employees have regular opportunities for career progression, as Edge offers professional development opportunities and an internal support network to assist all employees.

Edge Early Learning is one of Queensland’s leading and fastest growing childcare centre groups. Established in 2017 in South East Queensland, the privately owned and operated group has almost 50 locations throughout Australia, with 29 centres across South East and North Queensland, 17 in South Australia and more on the way.

Edge Early Learning Maryborough is located at 228 Ella St, Maryborough.
