DRM TRANSFORMS INTO A FESTIVE EXTRAVAGANZA THIS DECEMBER

Distillery Road Market (DRM) is preparing for a spectacular month of festivities, as it hosts its final markets for 2023. With a jolly jam-packed Christmas Market extravaganza, two Saturday Farmer’s Markets, and the highly anticipated opening of Perentie Brewing Co. 

The annual family-favourite gathering, the DRM Trucks & Tunes Christmas Market, will return on Saturday 16 December from 4pm-9pm

This pop-up market is the perfect chance to finish last-minute Christmas gift shopping as it will be jam-packed with more than 45 artisan stalls offering unique and locally made products, including homemade treats, beauty products, jewellery, plants, pet products, homewares and more. 

Ensuring a delightfully good time for all ages, get the family together for a night out and experience delicious food truck eats, enjoy free live and local entertainment, a dazzling photo booth, face painting and keep your eyes peeled for the roving Christmas Elves who will be handing out candy canes.

A charity gift wrapping station will be all set up, with gold coin donations and Christmas wrapping proceeds benefiting Quota Beenleigh—a charity providing support to at-risk and disadvantaged children, youth, and families. 

On the same weekend, the highly anticipated, bespoke $6-million, 1 million litre breweryPerentie Brewing Co., will officially open its doors to the public. 

With seating for over 200 beer lovers to enjoy, visit Perentie Brewing Co. to experience a locally brewed authentic lager beer, which has been perfectly crafted using traditional German brewing techniques to produce a clean, crisp range of beers with an unmistakably Australian taste.

Perentie Brewing Co. will be open from Thursday to Sunday, 11am until late. 

If that’s not all – this December, DRM is hosting two Farmer’s Markets on Saturday 9 December andSaturday23 December from 7am-12pm, making it the perfect opportunity to pick up locally grown and fresh produce for festive gatherings and a Christmas Day feast. 

The DRM Farmer’s Market showcases the best local vendors from across South East Queensland, offering a mix of fresh produce growers, small goods, baked treats, spices, preserves, jams and chutneys, artisan makers showcasing jewellery, pet products, children’s products, homewares, gift ideas, plants, along with vintage, retro and collectable clothing, fabrics, sewing notions and dress patterns, collectables and much more.

Onsite food and drink vendors will keep you fuelled up with tasty eats and great coffee while you get your pantry back on track with the best local produce.

Entry into the Farmer’s Market and DRM is always free, there’s plenty of free on-site parking and it’s a dog friendly space. 

The DRM Farmer’s Market held on Saturday 9 December will also offer a charity gift-wrapping station for a gold coin donation, with all goodwill proceeds going to Move It Gymnastics – a local group who are fundraising for their competition squad to travel in 2024. 

Bidding farewell to 2023, the DRM Farmer’s Market held on Saturday 23 December from 7am-12pm will mark the final event on the 2023 calendar. 

Throughout the Christmas and New Year festive season, DRM’s onsite food and drink venues including Zarraffa’s Coffee’s Kiwanda CaféSugar Creek Smokehouse and Perentie Brewing Co. will be trading throughout the holiday season. 

The DRM pop-up markets will return in January, with a DRM Trucks & Tunes market held on Saturday 20 January and a DRM Farmer’s Market held on Saturday 27 January.

Located off Exit 35 of the M1 Motorway with more than 600 car parks at the precinct, DRM is located advantageously along the Gold Coast and Brisbane growth corridor in the rapidly growing Logan City, making the markets both visible and easily accessible from the M1 Motorway.
